Letter from the Chairman
October 14, 2026
I.
A fundamental shift in global cement manufacturing is underway.
For decades, cement plants were supplied by traditional equipment vendors delivering isolated machinery without accountability for how the plant operates as an integrated thermodynamic and mechanical system.
The demand from the world’s cement producers is clear.
It is for process certainty—control over false air ingress, representative quality sampling, thermal stability at temperatures exceeding 1,450°C, and uninterrupted 24×7 operational reliability across every stage of clinker and cement production.
The foundation of our work traces back to 1845, when the Oswal Group of Industries was established in the heart of Rajasthan. Entering precision machine manufacturing in 1985 and advancing bulk sampling research in collaboration with Oxford in 1992, we set out to solve the hardest mechanical and process challenges inside the cement plant.
We pioneered fly ash utilization in 1995 and led the early adoption of petroleum coke kiln firing in 2000—reshaping cement manufacturing economics and circular resource efficiency decades before sustainability became an industry mandate.
II.
Since incorporating Oswal Engineers in 1997 as the flagship cement process technology OEM of the Oswal Group, our engineering footprint has expanded at an unrelenting pace.
Our systems now operate in more than 50 countries across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the Americas—trusted in the most demanding kiln and grinding environments on five continents.
What began with specialized bulk sampling systems has evolved into complete, plant-wide technology coverage across six core engineering verticals: Pyroprocessing & Kiln Systems, Comminution & Grinding Systems, Bulk Material Handling & Flow Control, Process Sampling & Quality Systems, Laboratory & Analytical Systems, and Engineering Consulting Services.
In pyroprocessing, our proprietary Duplex Kiln Sealing System—combining flexible lamella leaf assemblies with self-lubricating graphite blocks—has set the global benchmark for false air control and thermal efficiency at the kiln inlet and outlet.
In quality control, our cross-belt, hot-meal, clinker, and bulk truck sampling systems close the loop between material extraction and laboratory automation.
III.
The philosophy of our business is straightforward.
We engineer systems based on how cement plants actually operate—not as transactional hardware deliveries, but as long-term lifecycle partnerships measured by thermal savings, emission reductions, and mechanical availability.
Most equipment suppliers design machinery for standard operating envelopes. Our technologies are built for extreme operating conditions: kiln zones exceeding 1,400°C, abrasive dust-laden gas streams, and continuous 24×7 production cycles.
As the global cement industry transitions toward Net Zero and AI-driven digital operations, the bridge between heavy mechanical reliability and real-time process intelligence becomes decisive. You cannot optimize a kiln or a grinding circuit with software alone if false air leaks or unrepresentative sampling corrupt the underlying process.
Together with President & Managing Director Mr. Surender Singh Jain and Executive Director Mr. Rishabh Jain, our commitment remains unchanged: to deliver engineered certainty, stabilize the core variables of cement production, and stand beside our partners for the full life of their plants.
Sincerely,
Mr. S.S. Jain
